[So Luffy's Ambipom has gotten hold of the gear, and is having fun just playing with it. He makes a few silly faces, pretty amused that people can see him on this thing. But from the scene behind him, he's in a room in the PokéCenter. Guess what trainer was stupid enough to let the poison get to him in the chaos.

Only a minute passes before said trainer enters the room, forcefully escorted by Nurse Joy. She doesn't look very happy with him, and is ignoring his protests as she leads him closer to the Ambipom.]

You won't get out any faster if you keep sneaking out of bed, young man. You may be released tomorrow, but only if you can sit still!

But I don't wanna be here anymore! Lemme go noooow!

[Of course, the nurse just ignores him as she all but tosses him into bed and pulls the covers over him. She leaves the room quickly, too frustrated to deal with him. By this point, the Ambipom has crawled over to the young boy, and he sets the gear in his hand. His front paw taps the screen, obscuring the camera in a blur of purple for a moment.]

Aaaam! Aaam-bi-pom!

Huh?

[And Luffy's hand makes its way to his face, finger almost instinctively headed for his nose--but then he realizes it.]

Use it? Oh! I can use it to call them!

[Duh, Luffy. Glad to know the poison didn't make you any dumber.

He ruffles in his bag and pulls out a pokéball, then holds it up.]

OOOIII!!! Maaariiiaaaa! I got you a ladybug! But the nurse won't let me get up and give it to you. Where are you? Do you still want it?

[Oh, and while he's calling for people.]

Oi! Romano! We still gotta battle!

[Twitches and just sort spreads his hands in a "WHY IS THIS MY LIFE?" way.]

NUH-UHHH!!

[Glaaare.]

[Deep breath and super seriously looks down at him, like this is the most important question he will ever ask.]

Straw-Hat, what does a monkey sound like?

Like... [Give him a moment...

And then Luffy starts impersonating a monkey. For srs. Aipy joins him. Congrats, Smoker, you've started a zoo project.]

[TRAP LUFFY. TRAP. And Smoker just bursts out roaring with laughter.]

Quiet, no more monkeys jumping on the bed.

[Luffy is so confused now. He narrows his eyes in a glare, but... he's not sure if he's mad... and... jumping on beds...

Yep, he'll be jumping on the bed now.]

Smokey's a stupid head!

At least I'm more highly evolved than a monkey. [Smirky smirk smirk.]

I'm highly ab-volved! [That word was too big. Just kind of wasting all of his energy ruining their mattress.]

[Hey, he actually got Luffy back into bed with reverse psychology, he's feeling pretty accomplished. Better wearing out the mattress than someone's head.]

You're a monkey. Can you say "ukekeke"?

[He stops bouncing and spins around.]

U...ke...keke? Uuuukekeke!

[Just laughs more.]

Monkey.

[Okay now he gets it. And he's just going to pounce from the bed and try his best to tackle attack the marine.]

[Fortunately punching little kids isn't Smoker's style, even when they're his sworn enemy, so he'll just hold a leg out for Luffy to trip on. Or kick as is pretty much more likely.]
